Arrived in Hawaii ahead of Hurricane Lane
Had a good flight although the Flight was delayed for almost an hour at Sydney airport with a flat tyre.... had to strap in when they jacked up the plane to change the tyre. They still arrived on time though which was good. Arrived at 6.15am Thursday morning Hawaii time. Got through customs by 7am which was good going, then picked up a rental car. Neville did a good job with his first go at driving on the wrong (right) side of the road. Lauren did a good job navigating with the sat nav. It is such an odd feeling driving opposite to what we are used to. I kept going through in my mind where to drive and got mixed up so many times, so I would be useless as the driver. Drove around and stopped a few times at different places in Honolulu for most of the day as we couldn’t get into our house until 3pm, although we managed to get in around 1.30 which was good.
